After completing the eLearning component, students will attend a structured Instructor-led course that focuses on meaningful skills practice, debriefing, team scenarios, discussions of local protocols and skills testing.

BLS/ACLS Skills Session (On-Site Hands On)

Certification of Completion

For admission into a skills session, students must present their Certificate of Completion for the online portion of the course to the AHA Instructor.

Students must complete an in-person skills practice and testing session to obtain an AHA course completion card.

HeartCode BLS/ACLS Skills Test Part 1 must be paired with a hands-on skills practice and testing session (Parts 2 and 3) with an AHA BLS Instructor. Students who successfully complete Part 1 receive a certificate that allows them entrance into a skills practice and testing session. Must purchase an online code (Part 1) through the American Heart Association and complete the online portion first.

AHA Video ~ ADVANCE Life Support Online

HeartCode ACLS – Advance Basic Life Support Online

This online instructional program builds on the foundation of lifesaving BLS and uses the latest eSimulation technology to enable students to assess and treat patients in virtual healthcare settings. After completing the online portion, students attend a hands on session to test their skills with an AHA Instructor.

The online course must have been taken in the past 60 days in order to take the on-site hands on skills test.
